Presets (extra info)

The boring bit, installing desktop and mobile presets

Installation
Adobe Lightroom presets are pre-made adjustments for the Lightroom software that can be applied to your photos. To install Lightroom presets, you must first download them to your computer. Once the presets are downloaded, you must open Lightroom and go to the Develop module. Next, click on the "Presets" panel on the left side of the screen. At the bottom of the Presets panel, you will see a button labelled "Import Presets." Click on that button and navigate to the location on your computer where you saved the presets you downloaded. Select the presets and click "Import." The presets will now be available for use in Lightroom.

Mobile option A: Sync Presets from Adobe Lightroom to Mobile Version
To sync presets from the desktop version of Adobe Lightroom to the mobile version, you must have an Adobe Creative Cloud account and the Lightroom mobile app installed on your mobile device. Here are the steps to sync your presets:

  1. Open Lightroom on your desktop computer and go to the Develop module.

  2. Click on the "Presets" panel on the left side of the screen.

  3. Select the presets that you want to sync.

  4. Right-click on the selected presets and choose "Sync with Lightroom mobile."

  5. Log in to your Adobe Creative Cloud account if prompted.

  6. Open the Lightroom mobile app on your mobile device and log in with the same Adobe Creative Cloud account.

  7. Go to the "Presets" section in the app and see the synced presets there.

  8. Now you can apply the synced presets to your photos in the Lightroom mobile app.

Please note that this feature only works with Lightroom classic version. Also, the presets will only be available in the mobile app if you log in with the same Adobe ID you used to sync them.

Mobile option B: DNG trick from Adobe Lightroom to Mobile
Installing DNG file presets into the mobile version of Adobe Lightroom is a bit different than installing them in the desktop version. Here are the steps to do it:

  1. First, you must download the DNG file presets to your mobile device.

  2. Once the DNG files are on your mobile device, open the Lightroom mobile app.

  3. Tap on the "+" icon in the bottom right corner to create a new album.

  4. Name the album and tap on the "Add Photos" button.

  5. Select the DNG files you want to add to the album and tap on "Add."

  6. Now, tap on the three dots in the top right corner of the album.

  7. Select "Create Preset" from the menu.

  8. Give the preset a name and select the adjustments you want to include.

  9. Tap on "Create" to finish.

  10. The preset will now be available in the "Presets" section of the Lightroom mobile app, and you can apply it to your photos by selecting the photo, then clicking on the three dots on the right top corner, then clicking on "Edit in preset" and select the preset you just created.

Please note that the DNG files should be unmodified and should contain the adjustments you want to include in the preset. Also, the preset will only be available in the mobile app if you are logged in with the same Adobe ID that you used to create the preset.
