A Scottish adventure with Luca Faloni
It's the peak of autumn, the leaves are falling, and we're driving an 80s Mercedes SL through the west of Scotland. You can imagine this was a fun shoot.
Over the last few years, my interest in slow fashion has taken over. I prefer to purchase less clothing but higher quality items which last a lifetime.
On this journey with Luca Faloni, we photographed the Autumn Winter clothing from the Italian clothing brand for a social media campaign which went live on my Instagram account.
Luca Faloni's eponymous label was founded upon the premise of bringing exceptional Italian craftsmanship to the world. With its focus on timeless style over fleeting trends, the brand specialises in premium menswear staples – from linen shirts to cashmere knitwear, all made to last by Italy's finest artisans.
As with every photoshoot we try to split location and themes into chapters. On this ocassion there were three:
Travelling with the 1987 Mercedes SL in the West of Scotland.
Exploring the beautiful Birkhill Castle. A stately home, the residence of the Earl of Dundee, located on the banks of the River Tay, a short drive from St. Andrews.
An autumn walk around Edinburgh.
Although I travel a lot, I've lived in Scotland since 2019. So cashmere knitwear suits my lifestyle perfectly. Staying warm and keeping that forever-rising heating bill under control.
