Testing the PrivateWhite VC Ripstop Parka in the Scottish weather

I was recently given the opportunity to test out some of PrivateWhite VC's clothing line in the Scottish weather. Scotland is known for its unpredictable weather, so I was excited to see how the clothes would hold up. The Ripstop Recruit Cotton Parka was tested, and I was impressed with the results.

During the adventure in Scotland, we visited the beautiful coastal town of Crovie, a small village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, dating from the 18th century, when the sea was the only mode of transport to and from Scotland's shores. We thought it was also fitting to test the Parka jacket on a rainy ferry ride. A nice cocktail of rain and face-slapping wind was the perfect mix to test the jacket.

Handcrafted from an exclusive UK woven 100% cotton ripstop, the jacket performed well. Exactly what you would expect from a brand from Manchester, England. One of the few places that can compete with Scotland for the title of the wettest place in the UK.

I'm happy to report that the PrivateWhite VC Ripstop Recruit Cotton Parka kept me dry and comfortable during my time in Scotland. I recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, weather-resistant jacket that will last a lifetime.

We shot the images in the selection below on the Sony Alpha A7RIV, FUJIFILM X-T30 II and Leica Q2 Monochrom Reporter. Mostly at 50mm, my favourite focal length for commercial photography.
